Originally formed as an acoustic duo comprising of guitarist Scott “STOOLY” Miller and bassist Scott Lilly, The Daisy Anthesis has undergone dramatic changes since their inception in 2004. With the addition of Andrew Martin on drums the New Brunswick trio cultivated their sound shifting into the depths of death metal and grindcore without ever losing their artistic merit. The end result is the sound of whispering melodies, groove-filled metal riffs and chaotic noise. After two self released demos the band is now ready to release their debut, full-length “Surface and the Sky” on the Canadian metal label Diminished Fifth Records in March of 2010.
